What is Blogging? According to Encyclopedia Britannica Online ( a blog is a "...online journal where an individual, group, or corporation presents a record of activities, thoughts, or beliefs. Some blogs operate mainly as news filters, collecting various online sources and adding short comments and Internet links. Other blogs concentrate on presenting original material. In addition, many blogs provide a forum to allow visitors to leave comments...

A blog's author can write about whatever he or she wants, whenever desired.

There are no dangers in posting a blog.

A future employer may not hire you if you have or have had a blog.

A blog is a person's personal business, and not the concern of school officials or employers.

It is acceptable to write in a blog using a school computer or a computer found in your workplace.
