Grades HW/CW/Preparedness – 20% HW is assigned most nights. NO WORK = NO CREDIT HW is posted on board and on my website. Binders, Planner (HW & BR pass) & Pencils *especially on tests/quizzes Homework scores start at 100. Five points are deducted for missing HW assignments, 1 point is deducted for each time a student is unprepared for class. Tests/Quizzes – 80% Each assessment is worth a varied number of points that is decided departmentally. Tests will be weighted heavier than quizzes. Extra Credit (only included on tests/quizzes)

Binders ~ Due to the nature of the program, binder organization is crucial. We have suggested to your child organizing his/her binder using the following sections: Important Information – parent letter, binder guidelines Skills Practice – NJASK review packet Vocabulary – Academic & Unit sheets Class work – Investigations, notes, examples Homework – ACE questions or other assigned worksheets Tests/Quizzes – keep all quizzes and tests until binder clean out (then transfer to a folder at home)

Remember… Keep open lines of communication. We need to know if there are academic concerns at home. Please use our websites & any additional resources you find. Please share any of the wonderful & helpful things you find with us so we may pass them along. Please log on to your child’s Power School account to track their progress throughout the year.
