Kenya A Republic with a Prime Minister President is elected by the people 18 and over vote Government is dominated by the president

South Africa A Republic President is elected by the National Assembly Citizens over 18 can vote Has a High literacy rates… but still very low compared to other countries around the world Lots of freedoms for all since Apartheid has ended

Sudan Dictatorship (with the help of military…DANGEROUS!) 17 and over can vote, doesn’t really count though because government is corrupt! Civil War being fought. Ethnic conflict between Arabs in north and African tribes in the South region of Darfur. *Country now officially DIVIDED into 2 nations

General Legislative (law making) Information: Refers to law making 1. Bicameral- two groups make the laws; like the U.S House of Representatives and the Senate Example: South Africa, United States 2.Unicameral- one group makes the laws Examples: Kenya’s National Assembly Sudan’s National Congress Party ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
