Brucellosis Infectious Disease Caused by the bacteria in the genus Brucella Passed among animals Humans can become infected by coming in contact with a contaminated animal Symptoms: Fever, sweats, headaches, back pains, weight loss, and physical weakness Severe infections of the nervous systems or lining of the heart may occur.
Cysticercosis & Neurocysticercosis An infection caused by the pork tapeworm, Taenia solium Penetrate the intestinal wall and invade subcutaneous tissue, brain, eye, muscle, heart, liver, lung, and pertioneum When cysticerci are found in the brain, it is called neurocysticercosis Symptoms: Lumps under skin, blurry vision, retinal detatchment or swelling, seizures, headaches, confusion, sudden death
