Managing Long-Term Research

Personal accounts on library databases and Internet search engines allow you to save your searches for later use, set up alerts and/or RSS feeds for new material that meets your search criteria, save articles and organize them into folders, and set personal preferences for the interface.

RSS feeds are a way of getting the information you want “pushed” to you Google Reader is just one of many readers available for feed “subscriptions”
