 What is Google Earth? - Is a virtual globe, map and geographic information -The maps are superimposed images obtained from satellite imagery, aerial photography, and GIS(Geographic information system) 3D globe - You can also view the sky and solar system.

 Download the program to a computer  Locate a place you would like to go to  Explore the area using the layers on the left hand side of Google Earth  Try different button and see what they give you

 Great for Geography  Use the ruler tool for math classes  The history timeline for history or social studies classes  Has a pictures of space for a science class or Astronomy  Go see another place or town

 Locate your hometown  Mark your hometown with the “Placemark” tab  Then locate a place that you would like to go for Winter Break then mark your place  Then connect the two with the “path” button  Measure the distance between your hometown and your destination by using the ruler button
