Light the Night: Taking Steps to Cure Cancer Funds raised by teams and individual walkers provide: – Lifesaving blood cancer research – Assistance programs and events for patients and their families – Advocacy efforts that draw government attention to cancer-related issues – Local programs such as Family Support Groups and First Connection, a peer-to-peer counseling program
Why Walk? It's inspirational: You'll be helping hundreds of thousands of Americans battling leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. It's a chance to do something good in your community: Funds provide support for researchers who are working to cure blood cancers as well as valuable information for blood cancer patients and families
