Global warming How can we cut global warming pollution? It's simple: By reducing pollution from vehicles and power plants. Right away, we should put existing technologies for building cleaner cars and more modern electricity generators into widespread use. We can increase our reliance on renewable energy sources such as wind, sun and geothermal. And we can manufacture more efficient appliances and conserve energy. Hybrid cars…. What are hybrid cars? The advantages, disadvantages and future of hybrid vehicles and their effect on global warming and greenhouse gas emissions. Everyone on this planet has an effect on the environment, but the largest impact any one person tends to have on the environment, especially to greenhouse gas emissions, is through the use of an automobile. It is because of this that individuals have in their power the ability to make a significant contribution to the fight against global warming. Consumers using hybrid cars are becoming a growing force in the attempt to limit greenhouse gas emissions. What does global warming do to the environment???... Global sea level rise is caused by two factors. One is the delivery of water to the ocean as land ice melts, such as mountain glaciers and polar icecaps. Current evidence of global warming includes the widespread retreat of glaciers on 5 continentshttp:// e.org/environment/chanton.html For the earth, this is an unprecedented rate of change, about 10,000 years worth of change compressed into 100 years. And there is more CO 2 in our air now than at any time since humans evolved, more than anytime over the last million years! The earth is used to slow changes, not fast ones. Slow changes allow the biosphere and earth’s species time to adjust. Quick change may cause biological chaos and disrupt agricultural production. Carbon dioxide is critical to controlling the earth’s heat balance because it absorbs infrared radiation (IR), basically heat. onment/chanton.html

How can hybrid cars help prevent global warming?.... “America’s current fleet of gasoline- powered cars and trucks leaves us dependent on oil, contributes to air pollution problems that threaten our health and produces large amounts of global warming pollution,” said Texas State Representati"Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles offer a way to utilize our state's natural resources and minimize gas consumption and cost," said Phil Wilson, Luminant's Senior Vice President for Public Affairs. "They are great for Texas, reduce mobile point source emissions and are truly one more step toward energy independence," Wilson addedve Rafael Anchia. ome/ /en/Plug-in- Electric-Cars-Global-Warming- Emissions-Oil
