Notes: facts  UNICEF has saved more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization.  Facts:  6.6 billion people in the world, 2.2 billion (33%) are children.  1 billion children live in poverty  Each day 22,000 children die before reaching their 5 th birthday.  Equals 8.8 million children each year.  It is as if every child under the age of 5 in the US died over the next two years.
