What is publishing? It’s all about working with others to create and print an interesting new piece of writing; an exciting product; or an imaginative promotional tool.

Course structure

In the first year you’ll study: Contemporary Publishing Introduction to Design & Production Communication and Copywriting Professional Practice Text Editing

In the second year you’ll study: Working in Publishing: In-house and freelance Marketing and Publicity Self-initiated project/ work placement And either: Commissioning & Product Development or Professional Design Practice

This is a practical and varied course - you’ll learn about: Time management Initiative Organisation Teamwork Decision-making

You can apply to carry on into a third year to do : BA (Hons) in Creative Writing or BA (Hons) in Graphic Communication
