CGI Computer generated Images

CGI CGI stands for Computer Generated Images. Now days CGI is in everything. TV show/ TV adverts/ Movies and games. However that wasn't always the how it was. When CGI first came out it was only used in a few films.

General Information West world is a 1973 science fiction film written and directed by the novelist Michael Crichton and produced by Paul Lazarus III It was the first feature film to use digital image processing to pixellate photography to simulate an android point of view. The film was so popular they made a sequel film called Future world filmed in 1976, A remake of West world was in development as of 2007but was cancelled because the directors didn't think the film would be a good one.

Story The story is set in the near future, in a high-tech, highly realistic fictional adult amusement park called Delos. The amusement park entertainment is basically the interaction between the guests and androids that look so realistic. For a price of $1,000 per day, the guest can do what ever they want. They can kill or do anything to the robots. The androids are programmed to act in character for each of the park's three themed zones: WesternWorld (the American Old West), MedievalWorld (medieval Europe), and RomanWorld (pre-Christian Rome). The main characters Peter Martin a first-timer to the amusement park, and his friend John Blane, who has visited previously. After they are there for awhile stuff start to go wrong with the robots and they start to kill people.

CGI The people that created the CGI in this film are John Whitney Jr. and Gary Demos at the company Information International Inc The CGI appear pixelized in order to portray the Gunslinger android's point of view this last approximately 2 minutes and 31 seconds

Star Wars George Lucas is the creator of Star Wars. In 1971 he went to Universal Studios to ask them to make his film. They agreed to make Star Wars, however it was later rejected in its early concept stages On May 25, 1977 the film was relished and was published by 20th Century Fox This was followed by two sequels; The Empire Strikes Back, released on May 21, 1980, and Return of the Jedi, released on May 25, As of 2008, the overall box office revenue generated by the six Star Wars films has totalled approximately $4.3 billion, making it the third-highest-grossing film series behind only the James Bond and Harry Potter films.

Problems When filming began on March 22, 1976 in the Tunisian desert for the scenes on the planet Tatooine. There were many different problems. Lucas fell behind schedule in the first week of shooting due to a rare Tunisian rainstorm, malfunctioning props, and electronic breakdowns. Another problem was when actor Anthony Daniels wore the C-3PO outfit for the first time, the left leg piece shattered down through the plastic covering his left foot, stabbing him. Also Most of the crew considered the project a "children's film," rarely took their work seriously And the actors didn't believe in the film and thought it would fail

CGI There isn't a lot of CGI in this film. One of the example of CGI is in the X wing, the fighter planes. The CGI is the x wings targeting system. You can see this when the character Luke shoots missiles at the death star. The Star Wars film series has spawned other media including books, television series, video games, and comic books

Story The story is about the main character, Kevin Flynn, who is a young and gifted software engineer who works for the software corporation ENCOM. Then someone else has steels all his work. After that he get fired and then works in an arcade. When he decided to hack in to the corporation and then gets court by the corporation.

General info Tron was made in 1982 It is an American action science fiction film by Walt Disney Pictures It was directed by Steven Lisberger and was Produced by Donald Kushner One of the many different techniques used in this film, there is a bit of CGI, rotoscopic and much more.

Designers Three designers were brought in to create the look of the computer world. French comic book artist Jean Giraud was the main set and costume designer for the movie. Most of the vehicle designs were created by Syd Mead. For example Sark's aircraft carrier, the light cycles, the tank and the solar sailer. Peter Lloyd, a high-tech commercial artist, designed the environments

CGI In this film there is only minutes of CGI in this film. One of the thing that was made by the CGI is the light Cycle, an example of this is in the bottom corner. To create the computer animation sequences of Tron, Disney turned to the leading computer graphics company of the day, Information International Inc Some of the CGI was done by Jeff Gourson Tron is celebrated as a milestone in the computer animation industry.
