UPDATE September 2011 UPDATE September 2011 South Africa Student Placement Program The selection process for the South African program has commenced, with over 70 Monash Australia applicants vying for 5 available places. Interviews were conducted at the start of the month and participants are being finalised. This month Oxfam S.A. Staff member and Student Program Liaison Officer Inger Harber met with Partnership representatives in Melbourne to explore options for extending the placement program upwards and outwards. Monash students are able to engage with the Partnership through the Monash group. The student group links students to community development events and opportunities, and holds regular events at Clayton campus. As part of the team working on the Gendered impacts of climate change in Bangladesh partnership project, Alex will talk about the Partnership and how it relates to connecting research and action.
