 Jazz dance is a mix of many different dance styles. It originated from African American vernacular dance. “Modern jazz dance” originated in the 1950’s which also reflected Caribbean traditional dance.  One influential choreographer was Bob Fosse who created a form of jazz that reflected the burlesque and vaudeville styles of dance.

Hip-Hop originated in 1925.
