First Aid Resources Department of Recreational Sports: Safety and Training Program

Department of Recreational Sports  Provide CPR, AED, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens training for more than 200 staff  Skill and knowledge audits of our staff  Emergency Response for Sport Club events (almost 900 hours in fiscal year 2008)  Maintain more then 95 first aid kits and three AED at our facility  Maintain more than 80 first aid kits on campus for UHDS, MU & Engineering Department

First Aid Resources  How many here have a first aid kit? When did you last review the contents for quantity, safety, expiration, content?  How many here have an AED? What do you do to maintain it? What training do you provide staff for use?

How can DRS help you?  CPR, AED and first Aid Classes Individual (1-3 participants)  5-8 scheduled times during the week, evening and weekend Program (1-20 participants)  Classes scheduled most weeks during the quarter Group (6-100 participants)  Classes scheduled for only your group

First Aid Kit and AED Inspections  Cost $15 per kit per inspection plus re-stocked supplies Discounts for multiple kits in the same facility or other services. Call for a price quote to match your needs.  Time Kits are inspected during your hours of operation with as little disruption to your activity as possible A detail summary is provided at the end of the term documenting the maintenance of your first aid kits.  Availability Staff is available as early as Winter Term to start new inspections.
