Recent Developments on Centralized International Supports Fall International Support Coordinating Group Convened by Executive Vice President and Provost Composition: Office of EVP, Office of Provost, OACP, OIP, OGC, Risk Management, Purchasing, Human Resources, ISC, Cash Flow, Tax, Travel Services, Research Services, ORA, Public Safety Charge: (i) ensure that our faculty, students, and administrators are provided with rigorous, timely and user-friendly advice and guidance to support our academic and research mission internationally (ii) ensure that the University’s exposure to risks internationally are identified, contained and/or minimized. Global Activities Registry Purpose: Create an online tool to support Penn community members traveling abroad and to gather data about levels of global engagement Expedite response to natural disasters and other crisis situations. Improve coordination between program staff and administrative centers Continue developing rich knowledge base of Penn’s international presence Features: Anyone can enter a trip; program directors can enter group travel on behalf of the group Feeds ISOS system, enabling ISOS to provide emergency evacuation, medical support, and region-specific information services Facilitates collaboration among faculty and staff in same regions Enables University and individual Schools to know more about international reach of their faculty and staff 6
