To develop an apparatus that can test the spin down characteristics of a cup anemometer and record and display the output to the user. Total test time per single anemometer taking less then 2 minutes.
Spin Up ▫ A compliant attachment using friction and a motor to bring the sensor up to a given speed. Measurement ▫ Use a DAQ with analog input from sensor uploaded into LabVIEW software. Output ▫ Visual pass/fail with formatted file output to a database.
