AFFINITY Spells cost less for each artifact you control I have 4 forests and a Kitesail in play. I tap 3 forests to play Frogmite. With Frogmite on the stack, my opponent destroys my Kitesail. Is Frogmite countered or can I pay the extra one? I have 4 forests and a Lotus Bloom. How much mana do I have to pay to cast Frogmite?

ANNIHILATOR Whenever this creature attacks, the defending player sacrifices N permanents. Judge! Can I regenerate my creature that I sacrifice to the Annihilator trigger? I have a creature with Persist (or Undying): can I just sacrifice that one creature twice? Judge! I attacked with Artisan of Kozilek and my opponent didn’t sacrifice any permanents like they were supposed to.

BLOODTHIRST The creature enters the battlefield with +1/+1 counters if it enters on the same turn an opponent was dealt damage. Judge! My opponent attacked and I took damage. They then cast Duskhunter Bat and passed turn. It’s now my turn and they just remembered they forgot the Duskhunter Bat trigger: do they get the counters? Judge! I cast Profane Command where X=4. When Duskhunter Bat resolves, does it get a counter?

CONVOKE Each creature you tap while casting pays for 1 colorless OR one mana of that creature’s color. I have a creature with hybrid mana symbols. Which color can I use? Can I convoke it for one of each? Can I tap my Llanowar Elf for mana and also for convoke? I can sac a creature to generate mana. Can I tap it for convoke and also sacrifice it?

EVOKE An alternative cost that causes the creature to be sacrificed after resolving. If I evoke my Aethersnipe, what is the CMC? Can I enchant my Evoke’d Aethersnipe with something to prevent it from being sacrificed? Can I sacrifice my Evoke’d Aethersnipe to pay a cost for a spell? I forgot to sacrifice my Evoke’d Aethersnipe – what do we do?

EXALTED A creature attacking alone gets a bonus. I have Noble Hierarch in play. I attack with my Geist of Saint Traft, who generates an attacking angel when he attacks. Since he’s no longer attacking alone, do I still get the Exalted bonus? Judge! My opponent attacked me with just their Noble Hierarch and didn’t say anything. They then said “take 1”. Didn’t they miss their trigger? Judge! My opponent has 4 Noble Hierarchs in play and is attacking with a 2/2 Bear. How do I know if they’ve missed their Exalted triggers?

GRAFT Graft has two parts: 1) this creature enters the battlefield with N +1/+1 counters on it, and 2) whenever another creature ETBs, if this creature has a +1/+1 counter on it, you may move a +1/+1 counter onto the new creature. Judge! My opponent cast Cytoplast Root-Kin. It resolved, and we moved to my turn. They didn’t announce the trigger: shouldn’t it be dead? Judge! I have a Cytoplast Root-Kin in play. I cast an Elf, moved to combat, and then realized I wanted to graft a +1/+1 counter on my Elf. Can I do that?

LIVING WEAPON Equipment that comes with its own creature. Judge! Can I kill the Germ before the equipment attaches to it? Can I use Spellskite to redirect the Equip of their Sickleslicer to my own creature?

PERSIST This makes creatures harder to kill. My Kitchen Finks blocked a creature with Wither, had four -1/- 1 counters played upon it, and died. Does it Persist, since it hadn’t died before? My Kitchen Finks dies and I pass my turn. I just remembered that it had Persist: can I bring it back? My Kitchen Finks dies and my opponent tries to cast Surgical Extraction on it: doesn’t it come back before they can do this?

PROLIFERATE A mechanic that allows you to put more counters on players and permanents. I have a Karn Liberated at loyalty four and my opponent has a Kitchen Finks with a -1/-1 counter on it. Can I increase Karn’s loyalty and put another counter on the Finks? My opponent’s Finks has hexproof: can I still target it?

WITHER This deals damage to creatures as -1/-1 counters. My 10/10 creature has Wither and I attack, unblocked, a player. Do they die to lethal poison? My Midnight Banshee attacks their 2/2 Bear that 4 +1/+1 counters on it. What happens?
