Applying Theory To revise key theories To examine part b of Section a To apply understanding of theories into a practice question.
The question… 1b will ask you to evaluate one of your productions in relation to a key concept. You will be required to select one of your production pieces - either AS or A2. There is a number of theories they could choose: Genre Narrative Representation Audience Media Language
Revising the theories You have information sheets about each of the theories. You have 5 minutes to read the information sheet but NOT WRITE ANYTHING DOWN ANYWHERE! When the 5 minutes are up, in your group you will have to create a revision map for this theory (without using the information sheets!) It needs to have the key information on it and be visually engaging. Think about how you will present your information in a way that it will be memorable and easy to revise from.
Applying your learning 1b) Analyse one of your coursework productions in relation to the concept of audience. Step One: Decide which of your coursework productions would be the most appropriate. Step Two: Outline the key theories for the concept of audience that apply to your work and whether your production has conformed or subverted. Step Three: Select key examples from your production you can evaluate in your answer. Step Four: Organise your order and plan. Step Five: Write!
