“City Reflections” City of Heath 50 th Anniversary Art Show Participants (Middle School Age Group)

Lauren Balo When 8 th Grader Lauren Balo decided to enter an artwork into the art show for “City Reflections” a celebration for Heath City’s 50 th Anniversary, she decided she would create a map of Ohio using zentangles (the different designs you see) and then draw a red heart where Heath is. The background is orange, to represent Heath City Schools.

Mackenzie Cole 8 th Grader Mackenzie Cole chose to do a collage of drawings representing Heath, Ohio. She included a map of Ohio with Heath marked, a drawing of the mayor of Heath, and several drawings that represent the American Indian background in Heath.

Ashlynn Sinnett 8 th Grader Ashlynn Sinnett, decided for her artwork she would enter a pencil drawing of the mayor of Heath, Ohio. She made sure to use lots of shading to make her drawing appear realistic.

Corbin Roe 8 th Grader, Corbin Roe also decided to choose the American Indian heritage found in Heath, Ohio as inspiration. He used shading to make his drawing appear realistic.

Lindsay Drumm 7 th Grader, Lindsay Drumm, worked in pencil and colored pencil to draw her representation of Heath. Lindsay chose the Heath airport as her inspiration.

Kelsi Green 7 th Grade student Kelsi Green worked in crayon and colored pencil and created her own artwork to represent Heath. Kelsi decided to use her school as inspiration of what Heath meant to her.

Jacob Shoemaker 6 th Grader Jacob Shoemaker created a colored pencil drawing that was his representation of Heath, he also chose to use his school as inspiration.
