HOW TO DO PADLET
Introduction Padlet is a Web 2.0 free online tool that known as an online bulletin board. It is ideal for making open-ended questions and elicit multiple student responses.
Step 1: Open the Padlet website Open the web browser (Mozilla Firefox*/Google Chrome*/Safari*/ Internet Explorer*) Enter the URL: - Wait for the website to load. The website would look like this:
Step 2: Register/Login For first time users, it is required for you to register for an account in order to use the tool. Click “Login/Sign Up” as shown in the picture below: You can login with your Google or Facebook account If you don’t have both, you can register it directly through this website by entering required information such as your and password
Step 3: Create new Padlet After you have login, you can now create a new Padlet like shown in the picture below:
Now you have a new blank Padlet as shown in the picture below: Click “Modify this padlet” to change the background of your wall
Give your wall a description Give your wall a portrait Give your wall a title
Choose a wallpaper style, or add your own Choose your layout on how posts appear on your wall
These settings allow you to choose who can view the wall and how the wall can be accessed
Your wall should now ready for posting!Double click anywhere on the wall and a virtual “sticky note ” will appear. From there enter your title/name Then you can either write something Embed a link Upload something Or take a webcam photo
This setting allow user to copy and paste code to embed in blog or website
Highlight all the code and press ctrl+c to copy
Step 4:How to insert Padlet into GOALS Open GOALS system ( Login using your ID (Staff ID Number and eWadi password). Click My courses. Choose the course that you want embed a Padlet. Click “Turn editing on”.
Click “Add an activity or resource” Choose “label”
Edit settings for the “Label” activity Click show editing tools Visible = ShowClick HTML button to embed a link
HTML source editor will appear as shown in the picture beside Press ctrl+v to paste the code from Padlet Click Update button
After the code has embed, the Label will shown as the figure below Click “Save and return to course”
This is the final result of how the Padlet will appear on your course
