 During this process in the…  First minute the measurement of the depth sand that settles at the bottom off the container was ½ of an inch, but when I tried it in a container that was not as wide it was 1 inch deep.  First two hours the silt that settled above the soil was ½ of an inch high (in the container that wasn’t really wide).  First 24 hours, in the container that wasn’t extremely wide, the depth of the layer between the silt and the floating organic matter measured 5 inches deep.

 Clay particles were located between the silt and organic matter in my sample.  Based on the measurements I recorded the clay layer is the greatest part off my sample (in both containers). Since 5 is greater than ½ of an inch and 1 inch, the clay part is the greatest.  During this process in was slightly hard to see the organic layer, because sometime when I moved the containers the soap began to create suds.
