2015 TEAm Grant Innovations Convening – Tampa, FL First Phase of Implementation The first phase of implementation of the portal has been completed. This phase allows students to view internship opportunities related to the TEAm majors. The TEAm portal database is populated by using an RSS data feed or XML data feed to import the relevant job listings from the three institutional databases. Second Phase of Implementation This phase, still under development, will allow students to submit applications and upload their resumes. The target date for finishing this phase is May 5, with plans for further enhancement and a pilot testing of the portal by the end of May TEAm Internships Portal

2015 TEAm Grant Innovations Convening – Tampa, FL USF Science, Engineering, Technology Career Fair: Thursday 1/29/15, 10am – 3pm in the MSC Ballroom UCF signed a contract with SuperShuttle for a small bus to transport UCF students to this fair. A portal to reserve a bust seat was created on the TEAm website; 14 students reserved seat but only 4 did actually made the trip to Tampa. The four students were accompanied by Mari Pina, CECS Director of Academic Support Services at UCF. UCF Spring 2015 Career Expo- Wednesday 2/4/15, 10am – 3pm in the CFE Arena- UCF Main Campus USF arranged for the transportation of USF students to this fair. Four students made the trip to Orlando using rental car and attended the UCF Career Fair. 11 Coordination of Career Fairs

2015 TEAm Grant Innovations Convening – Tampa, FL The three institutions have agreed on holding a Virtual Career Fair (VCF) on April 14, The VCF is organized by CareerEco, Inc. 13 Virtual Career Fair (VCF) As of 4/3/2015, 18 employers have registered in this virtual fair including Harris Corporation, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Raytheon Company, Florida Virtual School, and Deloitte Consulting. Marketing this event to the TEAm students started in the week of March 23, As of 4/3/2015, the number of student registrants are: 69 UCF, 45 USF and 43 FIU.

2015 TEAm Grant Innovations Convening – Tampa, FL  At UCF, students are allowed to sign-up for certification courses starting two weeks before finals of the previous semester (sign up website  The CECS certification program currently offers eleven courses including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, OCA Java SE7, CompTIA Linux+, Cisco CCNA, OCA Database 11g, OCP Java SE7, CIW JavaScript Specialist, MSCA: Server 2008, and MSCA: Server  Statistics: - Fall 2013: 23 passed, 3 failed, and 22 have yet to take the exam - Spring 2014: 13 passed, 13 failed, and 64 still need to take the exam - Summer 2014: 8 passed, 4 failed, and 31 have not taken the exam - Fall 2014: 25 passed, 0 failed, and 46 have not taken the exam. 14 Coordination of Student Training for Certifications
