Unit 7 Early Civilizations of Africa Visual Vocabulary Use this Powerpoint to help you complete your vocabulary graphic organizer.

Savannah- open grasslands, usually with scattered trees or bushes

Rainforest - a tropical forest, usually of tall, densely growing, broad-leaved evergreen trees in a high area of rainfall.

Desert- a region so dry because of very small amount of rainfall that it supports only little vegetation

Merchant- a person who buys and sells products for profit

Theory- a proposed explanation that hasn’t been proven yet
