Types of Financial Aid Grants Grants : Money that does not have to be repaid Pell Grant Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant Federal Texas Grant* Texas Educational Opportunity Grant Texas Public Education Grant State Note: Beginning with the award year, State regulations mandate that Texas Grant will only be awarded to renewal students. A renewal students is one who has been awarded this this grant prior to Fall 2014.
