MILITARY SKILLS The subjects we cover are:  Navigation  Expedition  First Aid  Drill  Skill at Arms  Shooting  Fieldcraft  Military Knowledge  Adventurous Training

NAVIGATION Obtain nationally recognised qualifications. Navigation is learning to use a map and compass to find your way around. The qualification available is the National Navigation Award Scheme. You can obtain BRONZE, SILVER AND GOLD certification.

EXPEDITION This ranges from what kit you should select and how you should pack it. How to pitch a tent and camp overnight safely. How to cook your food safely in the field. Annually we select teams to enter the National Ten Tors Competiton. This is held on Dartmoor and you navigate round checkpoints of a 35,45 and 55 mile route.

FIRST AID First Aid training is a progressive subject. Over the time you spend with us you learn:  Heartstart  Basic First Aid  First Aid at Work *  Youth Activity First Aid * * These two are recognised by employers. So when you leave school and get a job, you may be paid more for having this qualification. We train you and qualify you FREE

DRILL This is marching. We use it when attending nationally recognised parades. Remembrance Day in November is the biggest event for this subject. It instils discipline, teamwork and pride in your appearance.

SKILL AT ARMS/SHOOTING This is weapons training. We train you to safely handle and fire various weapons. We enter a number of shooting competitions where you could shoot for your County, Region or even your Country.

FIELDCRAFT We teach you to hide yourself and your kit. We teach you to work as a team. We teach you to patrol and defend your location. This teaches you Leadership. This training helps you to take part in field training exercises.

MILITARY KNOWLEDGE This teaches the history of our organisation. The structure of our County organisation. History of our badged Regiments within the British Army.

ADVENTUROUS TRAINING This is the FUN part!! There are to many activities to list, these pictures are a selection of just some you can take part in.
