Social Definition The homeless are people from all walks of life, who have undergone various hardships. They are often dismissed as second class citizens and experience discrimination in all aspects of their life. Homeless persons are REAL people who have endured extraordinary events & by their existence it provides hope to the wider community and allows society to demonstrate compassion.

Financial Support : Centrelink payments, some homeless do not access these services, WHY? Security and Safety : incredibly unpredictable, insecure & unsafe way to live. Housing : Shelter is a basic human need. Employment and Education : Face many barriers. Access to Services : may not have the resources to access the services they need. Ozanam Learning Centre The Centre aims to provide real opportunities for people who are experiencing disadvantage, to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness. Who is eligible? Males and females over 18 What does it cost? Free. Where is it? Woolloomooloo, NSW Activity 5.

National Affordable Housing Agreement Aims to ensure that all Australians have access to affordable safe and sustainable housing that contributes to social and economic participation.
