He told us how to gain love from Allah. {say, [o muhammad], “if you should love allah, then follow me, [so] allah will love you and forgive your sins. and allah is forgiving and merciful} (al-imran: 31). قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱللَّهَ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى يُحْبِبْكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ Al hassan al basri said,  the sign of their love to allah is following the sunnah of his prophet – peace be upon him – because the rank of the believer can be measured by the extent of following the prophet – peace be upon him – therefore, as much as he is following the sunnah, allah will give him a higher rank.

{but you prefer the worldly life {but you prefer the worldly life* while the hereafter is better and more enduring} (al-a’laa: 16-17). بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ

A Dua To Get Allah’s Love ''O Allah I ask You for Your Love and the love of thosewhom You Love and the actions that will cause me to attain Your Love,O Allah make Your love more beloved to me than myself,my family and cold water'' Allahumma inni asaluka hubaka, Wa hubbaman ya hibuka,Wal amal al- ladhi bil leghuni hubbaka,Allahumma ja’al hubbaka a-habba alay- yai,Min nafsi, wa-ahli,wa minal barrid اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ وَحُبَّ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي إِلَى حُبِّكَ Allāhumma Innī As'aluka Ḥubbaka Wa Ḥubba Man Yuḥibbuka Wa Ḥubba cAmalin Yuqarribunī Ilā Ḥubbika O Allah, I ask You for Your Love, and the love of whoever loves You, and the love of deeds that will bring me closer to Your Love
