Background At RAN1#80, the issue of DL control signaling has been discussed and observation was noted that there may be need for RAN1 to study potential limitation of eIMTA signaling for supporting up to 32 CCs in Rel 13: The following potential issues applicable to DL control could be studied for the 36.300 CA deployment scenarios: Potential limitations of the eIMTA signaling

Proposal More than 5 indexes used to indicate UL/DL reconfiguration for eIMTA operation in Rel-13 CA are not needed Enhancement of DCI format 1C with eIMTA RNTI is not needed No additional DCI format is introduced to indicate UL/DL reconfiguration for eIMTA operation
