Community Foundations are among the fastest-growing forms of philanthropy in the United States today!

In 1987 Lillian Fell had a vision….. She wanted to ensure that our communities charitable programs were supported now and for generations to come….. That is why, over 25 years ago, she left a large gift of over $200,000 to begin our foundation. Today, the Lincolnway Community Foundation manages close to $5 million in assets.

LincolnWay Community Foundation has set up many endowments, assisted organizations and has awarded grants of over $500,000 Since 1987

Audrey Henning Endowment funds: Scholarships for Calamus-Wheatland Students

Kent Ploog Endowment funds: Scholarships for Northeast Students

Calamus Calco Building-grant recipient for building maintenance

Central Community Music Boosters Raised Funds for New Band Uniforms as an affiliate of LWCF – using 501(c)3

Welton Women of Welton - grant recipient for new fire trucks. Also is an affiliate.

DeWitt Operahouse Theatre-Endowment to maintain the building.

Grand Mound The Grand Mound Ball Park- grant recipient

Delmar St. Patrick’s Cemetery has a $100,000 endowment for maintenance.
