The National Mission on Education Through ICT(NME-ICT) Inaugural of SAKSHAM at GJU was done by Prof (Dr.) BK Punia on 10 th Nov 2014 with 30 participants from different affiliated colleges and also from some other universities.  Inauguration function was attended by Sandeep Tomar, Team SAKSHAM  Prof (Dr.) BK Punia spoke about usefulness of ICT tools in education, and integration of technology into education and importance of Industry-Academia collaboration.  All the participants introduced themselves formally. Some participants are very new to computers and have rarely worked on computers. Whereas some participants are working on computers from long time and few are from Computer Science department.  So this group is a mix of participants of different levels of knowledge and experience of working on computers. The National Mission on Education Through ICT(NME-ICT) Participants found IT sessions very interesting. especially Microsoft Excel, Advance features of PowerPoint, OneDrive, Office Online and Lync. Participants found Office Web Apps and SkyDrive very useful for collaboration and data collection. The sessions on Windows Accessibility Features and features of Lync for Voice-Video conferencing, document sharing, poll and presentation sharing were very much appreciated by all. Take Aways

The National Mission on Education Through ICT(NME-ICT) The Microsoft training program which was being conducted at ASC GJU HISAR was excellent. As I didn't know how to use Microsoft word n Excel, this was amazing n very interesting. Earlier I used to do find excuses for not knowing exactly what to do n how to operate by saying I don't have time to do anything on net. But I was wrong. This training made me confident n proud. The National Mission on Education Through ICT(NME-ICT) The Saksham Training Program of Microsoft held at ASC, GJUS&T, Hisar was simply fantastic having learning opportunities for beginners as well as advanced learners. The program is very helpful in enhancing the proficiency while working with MS-office tools. Many office tools particularly one-note, web applications, Onedrive go unnoticed during routine work with MS-office. This program created awareness about many such tools and options that made us realize that one need not look for other software while working with MS-Office. This course proved to be very useful. Obviously, one need to practice these things in order to have mastery. Lastly, we are highly thankful to you Sandeep sir for such a patient delivery of knowledge regarding MS-office and its tools.
