Why a Foundation?
Balance in the Foundation For the commercial exploitation we have to balance interests in the current consortium. Business companies like K+N and Kverneland (see “10 commandments” in extra deliverable ): – Should not be killed in product portfolio development in 1 IT company or 1 consortium – Want not to be locked in by one product but want one neutral platform on standards and competition in services like hosting IT companies like ATOS or LimeTri have showed some interest to commercially exploit different instances on their own
How to set up the Foundation It will be based in The Netherlands Should be done in the next months. Draft version of statutes are already available. Document do be signed to transfer the IPRs to the Foundation is also available. Software is developed as Open Source.
Next Steps Call in FIspace Foundation TaskForce for board members of the Foundation. Sign the statutes with a notary Detail Foundation activity plan 2015 and 2016 Sign the “IPRs handover” document of IPR from technical partners to the Foundation. Store the open source IPR on the website of the Foundation Sign contract between the FIspace Foundation and the companies regarding FIspace instances
