Who we are Catholic organization Promote global justice and peace since 1971 Explore and analyze the global issues and social structures from an ethical perspective based on Catholic Social Teaching Create a just world where economic systems and policies guarantee the dignity and basic rights of every human being. Rethink Bretton Woods

Catholic Social Teachings (CST) Every human has inherent dignity, and human life is sacred. All people have the right to participate in economic, political, and cultural life. All people have a right to the basic necessities of life. The most important lens for policy analysis is whether it helps the poor.

CST cont. Worker’s rights and dignity must be protected. We must stand in solidarity with our struggling global neighbors. Charity must be combined with transforming unjust social structures. Debt should be forgiven. We must be good stewards of the natural resources God has given humanity.

Our Goals A human development approach to debt sustainability instead of debt repayment Debt cancellation to reach the Millennium Development Goals Increasing resources available for development Coherent Trade reform addressing the needs of developing countries Increasing participation in decision-making through voting power adjustment
