What is economic aid?  aid: money to support a worthy person or cause

Why did the U.S. implement the Marshall plan in Western Europe after world war II ?  To restore the government of Western Europe after World War 2, to rebuild Europe, and form key alliances with democratic nations to help France, Belgium, Holland, Scandinavia countries recover after the Marshall plan was approved.

Which benefit did the U.S. gain by providing aid to Western Europe under the Economic Recovery Program ?  Germany got a really raw deal this was a contributing factor to the second World War, so the US was afraid of a third one and they gave Western Europe loans to ensure stability and prosperity.

What event was a result of the Marshall Plan ?  the American program to aid Europe where the United States gave monetary support to help rebuild European economies after the end of World War II in order to prevent the spread of Soviet Communism

What was designed to create economic stability in Europe after WWll through the use of $13 billion in U.S. loans and investment ?  Shipments of food, steeples, feel and machinery from U.S. then later resulted in investment in industrial capacity in Europe. Marshall plan funding ended in 1951

The U.S attempted to limit the spread of Communism in Western Europe after the World War II by _______.  Marshall Plan

Truman Doctrine  e.com/watch?v=w mQD_W8Pcxg e.com/watch?v=w mQD_W8Pcxg  The Truman Doctrine was an international relations policy. Its was meant to prevent the overthrowing of free nations.

Maclcolm Crawford Graduated from Harvard university, class of 1947

What was one of the unintended effects of the United States institution of the Marshall Plan in Europe ?  It helped Europe and Japan a little too much and to be able to build their industries which ended up hurting the USA’s business and ultimately the wealth of the country.

why was it generally believed that the Marshall Plan was vital to the economic and military stability in the United States and Europe ?  We feared that because their countries were so weak and broke they would turn to a communist country so that helped us Military wise to prevent future wars. Also, with Europe back on its feet we would be able to open free trade again and that would help our industry.

Why was a completely rebuilt and functioning Europe important to the U.S. economy ?  The US and Europe could be a role model for democracy throughout the world and be used to make an impression on the world together. They have similar interests and can trade with each other and make money off of each other.
