2003 Site Visit 29/30 May, 2003 CISM Executive Committee Principal Policy-Setting Body of CISM Confers bi-weekly, in person or via conference call Responsible for setting tasks and time lines and monitoring progress against those goals. Resolves conflicts that may arise between groups. Decides on reallocation of resources between tasks if it becomes necessary

2003 Site Visit 29/30 May, 2003 CISM Core Staff Deputy Director (Goodrich): Project Management. Primary responsibility for day-to-day management of CISM and for implementing decisions of executive committee. Major responsibility for Code Coupling and Integration, Managing Computer Resources, and Visualization. Assistant Director (Nottingham): Administrative support and budget. Software Engineer (TBD): support for model coupling software development and implementation Education Coordinators – Martinez (UTEP) and Zirbel (BU): summer school, course material, teacher training, education research and evaluation. Technology Transfer Specialist (TBD): liaison between CISM and NOAA/SEC (based at NOAA/SEC)

2003 Site Visit 29/30 May, 2003 The CISM Advisory Council is a fresh set of eyes to come in and look at what we’re doing and to make suggestions of how we can be doing it better. Do CISM’s objectives make sense? Are we trying to do too much, or should we be doing more? If so what? Are we using our resources effectively and efficiently in order to achieve those objectives? Do we have the balance of our program right?
