Social problems hurt the community Social problems hurt the community Social problems have bad consequences. Social problems have bad consequences. Here are some examples:  Illegal drugs may lead to violence, health problems, and even death.  Alcohol problems can break up families, lead to violence, and harm one's health.  Poor grades in school can lead to an increase in dropouts, poverty, and even delinquency.
