The Future with Be going to Use be going to talk about an action in the future. S+ be + going to + the base form of the verb I am going to have lunch with my parents tomorrow. be s

To make a negative sentence, use s + be + not + going to + the verb in the base form 1. I’ m not going to travel. 2. He’s not going to have a big family.

Note: Use contractions in speaking and informal writing. They’re going to have lunch. You can use the negative contractions isn’t and aren’t. We aren’t going to be lonely.

To make yes/no questions, use be + s + going to + the verb in the base form 1. Are you going to visit your grandparents soon?

You can use these future time expressions with be going to: tonight I’m going to get married next year. tomorrow in a week in two days this month next year soon
