Background and Introduction Only 25% of the world has access to the internet. In Africa, 6.8% of people have internet access. In North America, 74.2% of people have internet access. RIK are access points for the internet with the ability to print, scan, and charge mobile phones. RIK can have up to three people simultaneously browsing the internet any time of the day.

Solutions RIK provides people with the opportunity to educate themselves with correspondence courses and e- learning. RIK can help farmers plan crops and keep abreast of new techniques. RIK also helps governments manage their citizens with online forms and e- governance.

Societal Impact RIK provides the last mile of communication for people who sometimes do not even have power. News and information about the world can be accessed in real time. Information leads to prosperity Health and social questions have quick and easy answers. Millions of people below the poverty line will have the ability to learn and possibly try to change their situation.
