Egypt consists mostly of Sparscky Settled Deserts. Egypt has four major land regions:  The Nile Valley and Delta  The Western Desert  The Eastern Desert  The Sinai Peninsula The Nile Valley and Delta Region extends along the course of the Nile River, which measures about 1,000 miles in Egypt. Western Desert, also called the Libyan Desert, is part of the huge Sahara that streches across Northern Africa.

Eastern Desert, or Arabian Desert, is also apart of the Sahara Desert. The desert rises eastward from the Nile as a sloping, sandy plateau for about 50 to 80 miles. Sinai Peninsula is a desert that lies east of the Suez Canal and the Gulf of Suez. It consists of a flat sandy coastal plain in the north, also a high limestone plateau in the central area, and mountains in the South.
