Conversion factors

Moles to particles Particles are atoms, molecules or ions 1 mole = Avagadro’s number of particles 1 mole___ or x x mole

Moles to grams 1 mole = 1 molar mass (grams) of a substance 1 mole_____ or molar mass(g) Molar mass (g) 1 mole

Which conversion factor do you use? You want the units to cancel out. Start with the unit given in the problem. End with the unit asked for in the problem. Use the conversion factor that will cancel out what you don’t need and leave what you do need.
