Presentation transcript:

Barriers to effective communication. By Amir Pirasteh

Language Lack of technical and academic knowledge; the receiver might not know the jargon and business terminology Fluency of language ; the receiver might not be good at the language in which the message has been sent.

Atmosphere The receiver and the sender might have bad relationship; they will tend to be reluctant to communicate with each other. The receiver might be worried about what the message is about; this cause distraction and misinterpretation.

Physical barrier Defect and malfunction in electronic devices such as computer and fax machine. Environmental issues such as noise; when having a meeting, the noise in the background cause the sender and the receiver to not hear each other properly.

Timing The people might not show up in meetings on time; this can affect the well-being of a business.
