We are a private non-profit volunteer service organization, providing in partnership with the Navy and Marine Corps, financial, educational, and other need-based assistance to active-duty and retired Sailors and Marines, their eligible family members, and survivors. Mission and Vision

MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR SAILORS, MARINES AND THEIR FAMILIES Making a Referral to NMCRS CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY Clients’ personal information will remain confidential within NMCRS. NMCRS Staff members may not discuss client information, nor divulge such matters to anyone, except on a “need to know” basis. Client confidentiality policy does not apply to: *Criminal Acts *Misconduct *Matters affecting good order, discipline, and the security of the Command Command involvement may be a condition of providing assistance in cases of mismanagement or significant financial problems. MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR SAILORS, MARINES AND THEIR FAMILIES Quick Assist Loan (QAL) Program ACTIVE DUTY ONLY Maximum $500 loan to assist with needs Must bring ID Card and full month LES No more than two per 12 month period Cannot have an outstanding NMCRS loan Cannot have a UCMJ or NJP  Every 3 rd QAL requires additional education requirements and may require an appointment – PLAN AHEAD

MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR SAILORS, MARINES AND THEIR FAMILIES Spouse Tuition Aid Program (STAP) Spouse must be living with active-duty military member stationed overseas Interest free loans of up to $3,000 per 12 month period – Need Based – May be used for tuition, books and/or fees – Loan only program – Requires budget – Service members presence or authorization is required for initial loan approval Other Education Programs Available Through NMCRS at
