History

Medical services commenced with establishment of the Kuwaiti army integrated in the military unit.

In early sixties in the last century military hospital was established.

In 1967 by law health care was applied for all militaries

Medical services directorate was established in mid ninties

Entitled patients the medical treatment 1- All militaries for the ministry of defence and their families (MOD) 2- Officers and other ranks for the national gards and their families 3- Civilian staff in (MOD) 3- Officers only for the ministry of interior (MOI) 4- inlisted soldiers of special forces in the MOI

The Jabir AlAhmed Armed Forces Hospital was opened on 27 th Feb It was started during the ruling time of His highness the Amir Jabir Al Ahmed Al Sabah. After his death it was named to his name. Before it was called military hospital
