10-6 CIRCLES AND ARCS Objective: To find the measures of central angles and arcs. To find the circumference and arc length.

Circle Circle: the set of all points equidistant from a given point called the center. Diameter: segment that contains the center of the circle and has both endpoints on the circle. Radius: segment that has one endpoint on center and the other on the circle. Central angle: angle whose vertex is at center of circle

More Circle Vocab Arc: part of a circle Semicircle: half of a circle Minor arc: smaller than a semicircle (named by endpoints) Major arc: larger than a semicircle (named by endpoints and one other point between them, 3 points total)
