Image #1 Idea—Coaches through the ages Our idea for this image is to create a college using all the coaches for the Wildcats, including more well-known coaches like Jay Wright and Rollie Massimino, but also coaches like Michael Saxe (the Wildcats first coach), Al Severance (who coached the 1939 team that made it to the Final Four), Jack Kraft (who coached the 1971 team that made it to the Final Four), and Steve Lappas who preceded Jay Wright as coach. We will probably place Jay Wright and Rollie Massimino proximately within the image and add text from a Jay Wright quote. The coaches will be sequential from left to right in order to show the progression of time and of the team. We will try to generate different images of “coaching” from yelling on the court, introducing the team at an event, or more casual images. Other images such as basketballs, clipboards, whistles, and playbooks will be incorporated as well.

Image # 2 - NBA players who attended Villanova This is image will have anywhere from former Villanova Wildcat basketball players who played at least a game in the NBA. We will have as many pictures of the players as we can get. We will then Photoshop each player to have half of there basketball jersey be a Villanova jersey and the other half of the jersey be the jersey of the team they played for in the NBA. We are trying to give off that vision of the transition from Villanova (college) to the NBA (the pros).

Image # 3 – Aspects Of A Villanova Basketball Game In this image we will create a slide where we have images of everything that goes on in the aspect of a Villanova Basketball game (but no including the game itself) from start to finish. i.e. The drive into Philadelphia, the tailgating, getting into the arena, the national anthem, the player introductions, the tip off, the crowd, the cheerleaders, the half court shot for prizes, the fans doing the Woosh Go, the scoreboard for the final score, and then everyone doing the V, and singing V for Villanova V for Victory.

Image #4 Celebrating Nova’s 1985 Victory and Altering Images Our idea for this image is to celebrate Villanova’s victory in 1985 by altering images of Georgetown, St. John’s, and Memphis State’s players, logos, and mascots in a humorous manner. One idea was to make the Georgetown Hoya wear a Nova Nation t-shirt and replace other team’s players jerseys with Nova basketball jerseys. Furthermore, while keeping other players in their original jerseys, we were thinking of ideas like painting other players’ faces with Villanova’s colors (blue) and showing Will D. Cat trampling other mascots.

Image #5—Chronicle 2010 season Our idea for this image is to look exclusively at the 2010 season and try and make a collage representing the success of Villanova as the season unfolds. Ideally, we will be able to use images from games/pep rallies that we took ourselves from these events or that friends of ours took (to put an authentic spin on the project). This slide will have to be developed as the season develops, which will allow us to use things that happen in the season to dictate the slide. We would include images of Trey Songz (who was the special guest for this Hoops Mania), current basketball players, images chronicling the successes of Villanova at individual games, and add in text showcasing the scores of particular games.
