AIA Data Levels

AIA Level 1.0 & 1.0q Pixel corrections such as fixed gain variations, pedestal removal Integer pixel shifts for alignment between telescopes Bad pixel maps (both due to pixel defects and cosmic rays) will accompany these images

AIA Level 1.5 Despiked using the bad pixel maps Flat-fielded for both telescope and detector variations, Adjusted for plate scale, sub-pixel registration, and roll errors. Level 1.5q data is exported to LM for mission operations and event detection. Level 1.5 data is exported to both LM and SAO as it becomes available.

AIA Level 1.7 (browse) Derived from Level 1.5 Resampled or windowed in space and time. Baseline –Full disk, 1Mpixel images on a forty-second cadence (reducing data volume by at least 64) –Full resolution, 1Mpixel images of up to 9 active regions with the same cadence.

Proposed SU/LM connection Designed being finalized Expected to be in place early 2008

AIA Movie & Event System

AIA Event System Based on Hinode Observation System Shared components & infrastructure Further development of feature & event component awaiting NASA funding opportunity

AIA Status Data levels and algorithms are defined up to 1.7 –Will be Implemented by launch Additional support will be needed (and is anticipated) to complete the development of higher level products
