Quick Sketching From Art to Part Activity

Activity Objectives In this exercise, you will get to apply all you have learnt in previous modules enhance your skill in quick sketching for idea generation

Instructions Design and draw 5 different designs for a PDA (Palm or PocketPC), each taking no more than 5 minutes One design per page Use colour pencils to colour the drawing Sign and date your drawing

Useful Tips Choose an appropriate viewing angle Skip unnecessary details (e.g. LCD screen display) to save time Capture critical details (e.g. major icons and labels on key pad) to maximize communicative effect of the drawing and make it look more completed Use expressive and solid colours for the device and add background colour where appropriate to make it “stand out”
