Objectives of the Course Following this course, the students should: understand what is a database, from the conceptual, mathematical and practical point of view; become able to develop the conceptual and logical design of a relational database, including both the structure and the operations; understand how the database systems work, also for managing concurrent operations, and how these systems can be accessed via web.
