Keyframing rotation in the Canvas Panel One clip in the timeline, with wireframing turned on Playhead is at start of clip

Keyframing rotation in the Canvas Panel The clip is selected and we can see the wireframe controls in the canvas panel

Keyframing rotation in the Canvas Panel By default, when we rotate the frame, it rotates about the centre of the frame That is, the anchor point for rotation is, by default, at the centre of the frame But, we can change this

Changing the anchor point in the Canvas Panel First, in the tool panel, choose the distort tool (keyboard: d, cc) Then,...

Changing the anchor point in the Canvas Panel In the canvas panel, place the mouse on top of the central control point, where it will look as shown below If we, now, drag the central control point to a different location, we will be setting the anchor point to be used for future rotations

Dragging the anchor point in the Canvas Panel Below, we see the anchor point (red) being dragged, from the centre (blue), along the diagonal to the bottom left corner

Using the new anchor point in the Canvas Panel Below, the anchor point has been dragged to the bottom left corner And, we are selecting the arrow tool in the tool panel, so that...

Using the new anchor point in the Canvas Panel... so that we can rotate the image about the new anchor point
