The poverty in Maine is closely related to the total percent with less than a high school diploma. If you do not receive a high school diploma, you do not make a lot of money. Also, if you are poor you have a greater chance of not graduating because of many different reasons.

Androscoggin has the highest female poverty. Somerset and Kennebec follow right behind. Aroostook and Lincoln have the fewest female poverty because it is farmland.

The population is growing more in the northern part of the state.

The races of the people in Maine is prominently dominated by whites.

The analysis of the map sows that in the northern part of Maine there are more farmland than in the southern areas near cities.

Most of the people in Maine are between the ages of 5 and 17, which is shown by the sky blue in the pie chart.

The density of colleges and universities in the southern part of the state relates to the higher amount of college-age people in the same area.
