 Library  MInDSpace (Media and Instructional Design Space)  TLC (Technology Learning Center)  Tutoring Center  Online Learning MInDSpace Tutoring Center Online Learning Library Technology Learning Center (TLC)

 Supports the mission of the College  Centerpiece of Academic Support: works to bring seamless assistance to library users  Works in partnership with academic departments, the IT Department, and staff are involved in leadership roles throughout the College

 Participants: Dean, Learning Resources, Directors of Learning Resources areas, full-time librarians, instructional designer  Meets every other week  Agenda items determined by participants  Open communication, brainstorming, collaboration

 Brainstorming : What functions/services will occupy the space to best foster student learning?  Assessing current services and physical space  Working with an architect  Working with Physical Plant and IT Dept.  Working with way finding consultant  Planning for technology

 Visits to other institutions  Professional literature and conferences  Feedback from faculty and students

 Provides media and instructional design services  Facilitates media and Web 2.0 projects in the classroom  Offers a collaborative workspace  Created using mostly existing space, staff, and furniture  Used existing artwork and student-created art to bring ambience to the space

 Support teaching and learning with emerging technologies  Utilize low cost or web-based media editing tools

“Multimedia presentations represent an avenue for students who are not yet confident writers to seek, evaluate, and process information and to create content in ways that are meaningful while reducing some of the fear that many associate with writing assignments.
